THE CALVOTUNED APPROACH
Custom street and dyno tuning, tailored to your setup. Safe, efficient power with the drivability to match.
Every street or dyno tune starts with your hardware and what you want from the car. Calvo optimizes the engine calibration around your combination, fuel and goals—not a generic file.
When transmission tuning is included, Calvo revises part-throttle and full-throttle shift points, increases shift pressures, and refines torque management and shift behavior for your hardware.
REMOTE TUNING
Remote tuning uses multiple datalogging sessions and file revisions to dial in your combination. Includes free retunes for one month; confirm coverage for any new hardware changes.
02 / FIND YOUR STARTING POINT
Every build is different.
Choose a direction. We’ll discuss the details.
Street tuning starts at $650. Your exact quote depends on the vehicle, modifications, fuel and service required.
For your daily, weekend car, and bolt-on combination.
For a combination ready to be measured and dialed in.
03 / THE PROCESS
By appointment. Built around your combination. You’re welcome to stay, watch and be part of the session.
Year, model, engine, transmission, fuel, full mod list, your goals and any existing issues. Calvo confirms compatibility, service and pricing before booking.
Street tuning appointments are Monday–Friday at 6 p.m. in South Miami. Typical sessions take 2–3 hours, depending on build complexity. The exact location is shared after booking.
Dyno sessions are generally available on Saturdays, by appointment only. Confirm the date and requirements directly with Calvo.
Bring the car with its intended fuel and working sensors. Advanced builds may require dropping off the vehicle. Customers can watch and take part in both street and dyno sessions.
Have your MPVI device, VCM Suite laptop and required sensors ready. Record logs, receive revisions and repeat the process until the setup is dialed in.
BEFORE YOU BOOK
Street tunes start at $650. Dyno sessions start at $1,100. Your vehicle, modifications, fuel and any transmission or remote-tuning requirements affect the quote. Send your full setup for an exact price before booking.
A custom calibration for your mods and goals: fueling, MAF scaling and/or speed density, ignition and injection timing, idle, drivability, fan temperatures, speed limiters and torque settings. Flex fuel and transmission tuning depend on your combination and the service quoted.
Many bolt-on and daily-driven combinations can be dialed in with a street tune. A dyno session adds measured results and may suit a more involved combination. Calvo will recommend an approach after reviewing your setup.
Yes. You need an MPVI device, a laptop with VCM Suite, functioning front O₂ sensors and the ability to send multiple datalogs. An AEM X-Series 30-0334 datalogging wideband is recommended for naturally aspirated builds and mandatory for boosted builds. Remote tuning includes free retunes for one month; confirm coverage if you change parts.
GM LS/LT platforms, including Corvette C5/C6/C7, Camaro, Cadillac, Chevrolet, Pontiac and GMC, plus compatible trucks and SUVs. Send the exact year, engine, transmission and modifications to confirm support, especially for newer vehicles and swaps.
Yes. Share any previous tuning work and current issues. Calvo reviews the calibration as a whole, including fueling, timing, idle and drivability, rather than simply patching an old file.
A relearn does not replace calibration for changed airflow and fueling. Send the parts list so Calvo can advise on the tuning needed, particularly for idle and part-throttle operation.
Changes to airflow, fueling or transmission hardware can require a retune. This includes headers, intakes, throttle bodies, cams, injectors, converters and rebuilt transmissions. Confirm scope and pricing before making changes; a new combination is different from a revision to the same setup.
The AEM X-Series 30-0334 datalogging wideband is recommended for naturally aspirated builds and mandatory for boosted builds. Functioning factory front O₂ sensors are also required. Confirm the logging setup with Calvo before the session.
Ask Calvo to confirm the HP Tuners credits and licensing required for your exact vehicle, and their cost separately from the tuning service. If you already own an MPVI device or have an existing license, mention it with your inquiry.
Send your full setup and goals first. Street appointments are Monday–Friday at 6 p.m.; dyno sessions are generally Saturdays. Both are by appointment only, with the actual date confirmed directly.
In-person street sessions take place in South Miami. The precise location is provided after booking. Confirm the dyno location with Calvo when scheduling. Remote sessions are available if you have the required equipment and can provide datalogs.
Year, model, engine, transmission, fuel type, full modification list, goals, current issues and any previous tuning work. Include whether you have an MPVI device, wideband or existing HP Tuners license.
Confirm accepted payment methods, any deposit requirement and when payment is due with Calvo when you receive your quote. Your appointment and any work to be started should be agreed before payment.
Yes, subject to your vehicle and fuel system. Flex-fuel operation requires compatible sensing and hardware, and can be calibrated for E85 or ethanol blends. Tell Calvo what fuel you use and confirm which fuel to bring for the session.
Only when included in your quoted service and supported by the vehicle. For automatics, it can cover part-throttle and full-throttle shift points, increased shift pressures, torque management and improved shift behavior. Tell Calvo about any rebuild, shift kit, converter change or independent transmission controller.
A typical in-person street session takes 2–3 hours; complex builds may take longer or require dropping off the vehicle. Remote work takes multiple datalogging sessions and revisions. Remote tuning includes free retunes for one month; confirm whether any new parts change the scope.
It depends on the cause. Share the exact codes and symptoms so Calvo can review them. Mechanical or sensor faults need to be fixed first; a tune is not a substitute for a repair. If the check-engine light is flashing, avoid hard driving and have the fault checked.
